I have decided to try a new message board system that looks pretty cool and offers more control. This is the freeware version so some options may not work. Please experiment and if you have trouble consult the FAQ. Enjoy!

Justin,

I just want to say a special thanks for running this site. It's been an invaluable tool.

Justin, thanks again for this site. I must say Ultimate is not my favorite BBS. I kind of liked the frame version you had. Digidesign uses this one and I always wondered if there was a way of using frames or if a "New window with this link" option can be added to this BBS. Not complaining, just curious.

Appreciate the input Russell. The previous message system was Frontpage's Discussion option which had a tendency to get corrupted over time. I was gonna switch to the popular WWWBoard system but I found it hard to customize. This setup called Ultimate Bulletin Board, is, by far the prettiest and easiest to manage I've seen. So let's see how it goes. I welcome input from other users.

Looks great, Justin. I do agree the other software was easier to glance at EVERYTHING but we always need to try new things.

Justin, I really liked the old message board. Just being able to quickly access all the topics, made it my favorite place to go first. BBS's system has never been appealing. I'm gonna miss the old one.

Thanks Eric and Shane I do value your opinions - BUT - I like this system a lot better - mostly because it is easier to read a lot easier to administrate. FYI, the full version costs $150 and offers some nice added features including the ability for the user to edit/delete their own posts (how many times have you wanted to rewrite a post you made?). I'll see how things go with this free version before upgrading. Thanks for giving this one a try!

I think the full version lets authors of threads get notified by e-mail if there is a response.
